This is the 118E upright from Pearl River. At 47 inches tall it is a full-sized studio upright. At about the middle of the Pearl River upright line, I find this model to be the best overall value. It is only marginally more expensiv than the UP-108D3, but is significantly larger. This extra mass lends great bite to the bass scale while boosting the piano's overall volume. It is only slightly smaller than the 125M1, yet, because the 125M1 is the flagship of the line and therefore priced at more of a premium, the 118E is quite a bit less expensive. This is a great piano for the student at home. The action is positive with good blending tones and a clear treble. This is the best selling model of piano in the world because it is the highest quality piano available for the price I know this all adds up to a lot of hoopla before you see the piano for yourself, so we encourage everyone to stop in to our shop in Holyoke and see them first hand.
